About Peeka
Peeka is an infant-safety app. You scan a product barcode or photo and Peeka gives you a result about the product's ingredients, scoped to your child's profile. Results are informational: they are computed against published Australian standards (including FSANZ), not a personal recommendation from a professional.
Not medical advice
Peeka provides regulatory and ingredient information. It does not provide medical advice. For health concerns about your child, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Clinical scope
Peeka checks ingredients and declared allergens. It does not assess choking or other physical-form hazards, and it does not assess how much sugar or salt a product contains. Results are not a whole-of-product safety endorsement.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to create a Peeka account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the profile information you enter, and for keeping your login secure.
Assumption of risk / your reliance
You decide how to use Peeka's results. They are general information, not a direction to buy, avoid, or feed any product to your child. You are responsible for decisions you make using them, and for reading product labels and seeking professional advice where appropriate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peeka and its founder are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or its results, except to the extent caused by our own serious default. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded; where a guarantee under that law applies and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited (where the law allows) to re-supplying the relevant service.
Beta feedback & IP licence
If you send us feedback, ideas, or reports during the beta, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them to improve Peeka, without obligation to you. You keep ownership of your own content; Peeka and its name, design, and content remain ours.
Termination / suspension
We may suspend or end your access to the beta at any time, including if you misuse the app or breach these terms. You can stop using Peeka and delete your account at any time from Settings.
Privacy
Your use of Peeka is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If you continue to use Peeka after an update, that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
